Job Brief

The Commercial Lending Associate position will coordinate the documentation, booking, and funding of commercial credits in addition to providing ongoing portfolio support to the customers and Commercial Relationship Managers.

Job Summary:

This position will also serve as an escalation point for complex documentation requests, booking and service related issues as well as assisting with training and continuing education opportunities for the CLA team.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

• Coordination of loan documentation, booking, and funding

• Review credit approval and compile documents required to complete entity verification and loan documentation request

• Review completed documents for accuracy and facilitate the booking and funding of executed documents

• Research and resolve documentation related issues

• Loan portfolio Maintenance

• Facilitate the collection and review of post-closing documentation

• Address and clear all credit related exceptions

• Complete necessary lien filings to ensure collateral is properly secured

• Various maintenance related tasks as assigned

• Provide excellent customer service by timely and accurately responding to all customer related issues

• Process customer related transaction requests such as payments, advances, and wire transfers

• Provide assistance to the Relationship Managers as needed to complete a variety of tasks related to the maintenance of the existing portfolio

• Serve as the central point of contact for customers in the portfolio

• Assume ownership and responsibility for complex customer service related issues escalated from CLA I, managers, and other departments

• Maintain a high level of engagement with the team, Relationship Managers, and all levels of management

Education and/or Experience:

• 3+ years of Business or Commercial lending experience

• Deposit or treasury related experience preferred, but not required

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
